DR. EMEK SARAN
Emek Saran
graduated from Ege University (Faculty of Dentistry), Turkey in 1994. She continued
her professional work and studies at orthodontics clinics, where she began
working whilst a student. Later, she completed her specialist training at the
implant department of New York University. In the meantime, she worked with
Norman Cranin in the Department of Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery at
Brookdale Hospital. From 1996 to 1997 she worked as an assistant on implant and
aesthetic dentistry at the private clinic of Dr. Dennis Tornow, Head of the
Implant Department of New York University.
As soon as
she returned to Turkey, she began working as a dentist at the American Hospital
in İstanbul. She established dental clinics in Kadıköy Şifa Hospital and
Memorial Hospital (İstanbul), where she served as Head of Department. She
established the Smile Institute in 2007 in Nişantaşı, where she continues to
work. The Smile Institute has 4 dental units, a panoramic X-Ray unit and a
laboratory with a team of 4 dentists and 6 assistants. She is also a member of
the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) and the European Academy of
Osteointegration (EAO).
