Dr. Mehmet Tahir Şam was born in 1972 in Amasya. After finishing his initial studies in Amasya and Bursa, he was graduated from Hacettepe University English Faculty of Medicine in 1996. Dr. Mehmet Tahir Şam finishing his post graduate degree in İstanbul Okmeydanı Research and Training Hospital in 2000, has worked as an ophthalmologist in public and private hospitals in İstanbul, Malatya and Antalya.
As being well experienced in Vitreo-Retinal, Oculoplastic and Strabismus Surgery, he most particularly concentrates on Cataract, Laser Refractive and Anterior Segment Surgery.
He is a member of Turkish Medical Association (TTB), Turkish Society of Ophthalmology (TOD) and board member of TOD branch office in Antalya. He is also European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS), American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), International Ocular Inflammation Society (IOIS), and European Vitre Retinal Society (EVRS) commissioner.
He still continues his Eye Clinic Manager Service in Medical Park Antalya Hospital Complex.
